I Just Want a Normal Life!

[You can read this as an ordinary isekai slice-of-life story even if you haven't seen Konosuba. The early chapters may feel a bit like Aqua.]

[Note: Since Eris came down with her, everything Chris brought along was cleared away.]

The good news: I got to meet a goddess.

The bad news: I was completely dead.

Eris, the kind and gentle Goddess of Luck, blinked her jewel-green eyes and offered me the classic three choices: retire in heaven, start over as a newborn, or keep my memories, take a “god-tier bonus,” and venture into another world to defeat the Demon King!

Lu Yang decisively chose the most exciting option: the third!

But when he opened the glittering “Bonus Catalogue,” there were more problems than divine treasures:

[Dragon-Slaying Holy Sword] comes with “automatic navigation to the tax office within a ten-mile radius.”

[Ring of Infinite Magic] is bound to “Compulsive Embarrassing Poetry Recitation Syndrome.”

[Boots of Supreme Speed] will “sprint straight toward the scene of a toilet explosion.”

...What kind of beginner's perks are these? This is clearly a “Guide to Dying in Every Possible Way in Another World”!

Seeing Lu Yang's brow knot into a pretzel, Eris enthusiastically pitched her “goddess-approved picks.” “How about a trial card to summon an epic hero?”

“A gluttonous divine wolf you can't afford to feed?”

“The Dragon's Charm, which will make a dragon chase you to the ends of the earth?”

The young man's spirit crumbled. Are these bonuses designed to make sure I die quickly and in the most humiliating way possible?!

“Ah, well, I suppose there's no other way~” Eris tilted her head playfully. “Then why not take me, a goddess, along with you? ...Just kidding♪”

This was his chance! Lu Yang's social anxiety broke through its limits. His trembling finger jabbed the goddess on the nose. “I've decided! You're coming with me, Lady Eris!”

[Ding! Bonus: Goddess Eris! This choice cannot be reversed. Teleportation commencing!]
