I Build the Chinese Empire by Raising Troops with the System

Li Xiang was lying in an air-conditioned room, lost in a beautiful dream. When he opened his eyes again, he found himself on a raft adrift across an endless sea. His clothes had become bloodstained armor. He had transmigrated as the legitimate son of the Governor of Liuqiu in the Great Shun dynasty. This was a parallel world. Though the Great Shun dynasty had been founded by Li Zicheng and had brought down the Later Jin, it had repeated the mistake of closing itself off from the world. A year ago, in a naval battle with the Rising Sun nation, corruption had swallowed the military budget. Six or seven out of every ten shells were duds, and the navy had been almost completely wiped out. The court signed a humiliating treaty, ceding Liuqiu Province. His father died fighting to the end with his volunteer army, and Li Xiang was the only surviving heir, sent away at the cost of their lives. Just as Li Xiang was despairing over his lack of water and thought he was about to become the most miserable transmigrator ever, the Empire's Rise System suddenly activated. He would take back Liuqiu, make the invaders pay, restore the empire to its place as the world's dominant power, and fly the imperial flag atop the world.
