The Aloof CEO Falls for the Streamer, Who Steals His Heart

[A violin prodigy who fell from grace x a single father who is a virtual singer]

A disastrous blind date full of prejudice and a strawberry candy offered by chance bring two people from parallel worlds crashing together in Hangzhou's early summer.

Wen Zhixian, 23, was once a gifted first-chair violinist, surrounded by accolades. But after a horrifying accident left her hand badly injured and shattered her dreams, she was swallowed up by online abuse from people who didn't know the truth, falling into the dark depths of self-imposed isolation.

Cui Shixu, 32, is a young man from Tianjin and a single father living in Hangzhou. By day, he's a gentle dad; by night, he's a mysterious virtual singing sensation with countless fans. His voice has brought comfort to countless listeners, yet his status as a streamer and his responsibilities as a father have repeatedly made him a bad match in the blind-date scene, where he's faced constant prejudice.

He sees her staring blankly at a table full of delicious food, the brokenness in her eyes achingly familiar. She happens to hear people insulting him and fires back in sharp Tianjin dialect, living more boldly and freely than she does.

A strawberry candy he slips her, sweet on her tongue, rolls unexpectedly into her bitter, frozen world. One performance marking her return, clumsy but determined, quietly plucks at the heartstrings he thought had fallen silent.

Yet reality's thorns remain sharp. His parents hope he'll have a "complete" family, while her family hides the scars of divorce and the shackles of favoring boys over girls.

When rumors strike again and their dreams suffer another setback, can they become each other's one true kindred spirit and play a concerto of healing and growth?

This is a heartwarming story about breaking free of labels, healing old wounds, supporting each other in the face of prejudice, and ultimately finding oneself and love.
