A Confession Meant for You

(A fanfiction based on World's End.) [Important! This story won't affect newcomers' enjoyment of the original. It adapts one of its storylines into a novel.] [Important: This story was written with the original author's permission!] Of course, I'll also make some major changes to parts of the story, like the ending?

This is a story of unrequited love, full of avoidance, timidity, cowardice, and unrealistic longing, about people who aren't exactly cheerful.

Yuan Ji Yao, an ordinary protagonist who is used to living in the shadow of others, falls in love at first sight with Shen Yan, an aloof beauty, at the same time as his roommate Hua Ang, who is both talented and comes from a wealthy family. Unable to suppress his unrealistic hopes, he makes his choice. But one setback after another keeps shaking his resolve. As he sinks into a hopeless crush, he meets all kinds of people troubled by unrequited love just like him. On top of that, he has one more thing to consider: are his feelings genuine love, or merely an obsession with what he can't have? (Adapted from the postman route)
