After I Retired as a 9-Dan Professional, My Go Prodigy Little Sister Panicked

I retired at the peak of my Go career and went back to the neighborhood office to sweep the streets. I was perfectly at ease, but my mother and younger sister panicked! My sister stopped me. “Sis, even if your ninth-dan Go rank is undeserved, you’re still my big sister. When I face the robot dog, I hope you’ll stand by my side without hesitation.” I scoffed, picked up my broom, and went back to sweeping the fallen leaves.

In my previous life, I taught my younger sister to play Go, patiently guiding her through every move after she finished her college entrance exams. Yet before every match I played afterward, she could predict my next move, right down to the exact sequence I had imagined in my head. I was proud and stubborn, and won 22 games in a row to prove myself. Even so, my sister, who livestreamed Go commentary online, could effortlessly call out every move I made. After just three months of learning Go, she was hailed by netizens as a chess prodigy of the new era, while I, the genius girl who had started learning at five, was trampled into the dirt. At every match after that, haters stood nearby and cursed me, saying I was unworthy of the title of the last Go Sage. In the end, unable to take it anymore, I jumped from a rooftop. When I opened my eyes again, I was back on the first day I taught my sister to play Go after she finished her college entrance exams.
