The Immortal-Demon War Sparked by Sweet and Savory Tofu Pudding

I open my eyes and find that I've gone from being a Michelin-starred chef to a starving wretch in the cultivation world. I pull out an iron wok and sneer: “This is right up my alley.” The Demon Venerable presses his sword to my throat. “Try anything funny and I'll destroy your soul.” I whip up a bowl of luosifen instead. “Try some? If the smell knocks you out, you can call it a workplace injury.” That night, the Demon Palace is packed. The Demon Venerable crouches on the roof, calling out, “It's so good!” An elder from the Immortal Sect scolds me for sullying the path of cultivation. “How can mere mortal food disrupt our Daoist hearts?” I serve up molecular gastronomy ice cream. “Science is the ultimate destination of cultivation.” The Supreme Elder reaches enlightenment on the spot and dismantles the alchemy room that very night, turning it into a freezer. Then the war between the immortals and demons breaks out, and the bigwigs from both sides cram into my little restaurant: “Boss, hold off on the fighting! The hot pot broth is about to boil dry!”
