[This story has little connection to the original plots of the TV dramas and films. It is mainly comedic, with plenty of gossip.]
A mysterious organization keeps countless small worlds running. Most of its employees are “Systems” reborn after dying by accident, and they earn points by completing missions.
After an accident, Qin Li was reborn with a unique System form. Combining it with her family’s inherited paper effigy craft, she could control paper figures, communicate with spirits, and divine the future, though low energy often caused hilarious glitches.
Every world had “gossip energy.” When the Host watched key plot events unfold, the System could gain extra energy and drive the story forward.
In the world of My Journey to You, she binds herself to Gong Yuanzhi, who is being hunted by assassins. When a paper effigy stand-in suddenly hugs an assassin’s leg and cries, “Daddy!” the young poison master’s expression crumples. “This is the support System you promised me?”
In the world of Mysterious Lotus Casebook, she binds herself to Li Lianhua, who is coughing up blood. The moment the paper figure appears, he pins it down, treating it like a medicinal ingredient. The divine doctor narrows his eyes. “A paper effigy made in a yin year and yin month? Perfect for a medicinal primer.”
