Abandoned Consort in the Cold Palace? I Become Empress Through Medicine

Su Miao, daughter of the director of the Imperial Medical Bureau, was framed out of jealousy by Consort Jiang Yuli. In a fit of anger, Emperor Xiao Che banished her to the Cold Palace, leaving her fate to chance. It was the dead of winter, and the consort declared that Su Miao would not survive the season. But with generations of medical knowledge behind her and experience identifying every herb and poison, Su Miao quietly bided her time in the Cold Palace, a place of utter despair. Half a year later, the Empress Dowager suddenly fell gravely ill. The Imperial Medical Bureau was helpless, and her life hung by a thread. To save his birth mother, Emperor Xiao Che set aside his imperial dignity and begged Su Miao, the discarded concubine in the Cold Palace, to treat her. Su Miao agreed, but on one condition: Consort Jiang Yuli had to kneel and watch as she treated the Empress Dowager. Once the Empress Dowager was out of danger, Su Miao regained the emperor’s favor and overcame one obstacle after another until she finally took the throne as empress. When the former consort later coughed blood in the Cold Palace and demanded answers, Su Miao leaned down with a soft laugh and revealed the shocking truth: the poison she had once been framed for giving the consort had come from Su Miao herself.
