A Cannon Fodder in Warhammer

The ordinary Lin En is thrown into the darkest battlefields of the Warhammer 40K universe. Starting with a desperate struggle to survive amid the corpse-strewn ruins of a hive city, he is dragged into the Imperium’s most brutal meat grinders: witnessing Cadia fracture beneath the tides of Chaos, battling through the hellish seas of Tyranids on Baal, moving under the shadow of the Tau Empire’s “Greater Good,” and even touching forbidden relics on the edge of the Eye of Terror. To survive, he fights through bloodshed, changing from a terrified mortal into a cold-blooded warrior. But endless war and repeated, extensive modifications by the Adeptus Mechanicus steadily erode his humanity and sense of self, pushing him to the brink of becoming something inhuman. Scarred and battered, he crosses a burning galaxy and eventually reaches humanity’s last bastion, Holy Terra. As Chaos launches its ultimate siege to destroy the world and the Golden Throne nears extinction, Lin En must make his final choice: to become an anonymous fuel, his existence utterly transformed and his soul from another world, sustaining the Emperor and the Imperium. This is how, amid eternal darkness, he burns himself away and becomes the Imperium’s embers.
