I’ve Never Been Good at Cards

When the first kind of card entered human life, everything became a joke. A gambling table, any resource, anything you can imagine could become a card.

Some used 54 playing cards to win immeasurable wealth. Some had incredible luck. Some stole cards to steal from others. Everything played out in this ridiculous world.

Floods engulf the land, but they’re nothing more than water cards.

Heads roll in torrents, but they’re just cards that can be traded.

The sun and moon turn upside down, with the countdown ticking down.

All you can see is a card player in a black coat, holding his own deck. He shatters his time with his cards, while the sun and moon shine behind him. Space itself seems to exist within his grasp. He says one thing to the world in his own words: “I’ve never understood cards.”
