[Red Star] [Military Bugle] [Xiang River] [Bright Sword] [The Grand Mansion Gate] [The Battle at Lake Changjin] [The Sky] [The Flower Garland] [Assault] [In the Name of the People] [Black Ice] [Black Hole] [The Knockout]...

In 1950, veteran soldier Qi Kaishan is gravely wounded, loses his memory, and is reduced to a childlike intelligence.

With no other choice, his wife takes him to his hometown in Yantai, Handong, to recuperate.

One day, a terrifying nightmare strikes, and Qi Kaishan learns the tragic fate awaiting his family, especially his grandson Qi Tongwei.

So, after making a “miraculous” recovery, he decides to live again, for his family and for Qi Tongwei!

As the gears of fate turn once more, everything changes!

From then on, three generations of the Qi family, Qi Kaishan, Qi Guoyou, Qi Tongjun, Qi Tongwen, and Qi Tongwei, cross paths amid the storms of their time and start anew...

“Now, Xiaoshitou, take it easy digging up this garden. Don't get all worked up...”

“Comrade Zhengguo, you need to pay attention to your personal conduct!”

“Mengsheng, get rid of that pink thermos and whatever that Snowflake cream is. Smash them, now!”

“Comrade Sanxi, take Xia Beijing with you and inspect every single one of those ‘82-0’ shells!”

Many years later...

Qi Tongwei, too, begins his climb to power.

The sky over Handong is still the same.

But Qi Tongwei is no longer the same Qi Tongwei.
