Female college students in the 21st century - Lin Wan, Song Qinghuan, Zhou Zirui, Zhao Xiaotang, Li Sisi and Chen Xi, collectively traveled to the fictional Dayin Dynasty harem after a dormitory hotpot dinner. They were given hierarchical identities such as palace maids, eunuchs, female guards, female historians, nobles, and talented people. Under the tremendous pressure to survive, their once-close friendship quickly evolved into a fragile alliance full of suspicion and exchange of interests with the goal of "surviving and climbing to the top of power."
