2025: Sun Wukong in the City

As their classical Chinese teacher read an excerpt from Journey to the West, Wukong slapped the desk and sprang to his feet. “That’s been tampered with! Old Sun clearly toppled Lingxiao Palace with a single swing of his staff, and the Jade Emperor hid under a table begging for mercy. Where did this ‘Great Sage was captured’ nonsense come from?” The whole class burst into laughter, while someone’s phone automatically recorded the scene and uploaded it to a trending post on the campus forum under #MadLiterature#.

Physics class was an even bigger disaster. The teacher tossed an apple into the air. “The law of universal gravitation...” Wukong cut in: “Nonsense! My Somersault Cloud can travel 108,000 li in a single leap. Have you ever seen me fall?” The teacher sneered. “Then fly!”
