Camel Xiangzi

"Camel Xiangzi" is set in old Peiping and describes the tragic experience of a rickshaw driver nicknamed "Camel" Xiangzi. It reflects the pain of the working people living at the bottom of the city and exposes the evils of the old society. This work centers on the main character Xiangzi, with two clues intersecting around Xiangzi's actions. One is Xiangzi's "pull a cart and buy his own cart". It tells how he worked hard and struggled to be a free driver, but in the end his hope was shattered and he fell into an abyss of more misery. This is the main line. The other is the entanglement between Xiangzi and the opposite sex such as Huniu, Xiaofuzi, and Mrs. Xia. This is a secondary line, but it is integrated with the main line and continuously promotes the development of the plot.
