My wish has always been to write down the ancient books "Book of Changes", "Tao Te Ching", "Shan Hai Jing" and "Huang Di Nei Jing". Of course, I use modern language to explain it, and I don't want to make it obscure. Among them, in fact, the most difficult one to write must be "The Classic of Mountains and Seas", because it only goes one hundred, two hundred or three hundred miles to the east... Just like Mrs. Xianglin. The main thing is not to be reasonable, but to gain knowledge. So it's not easy to break up. But "The Classic of Mountains and Seas" has its own magic. Who can tell what secrets are hidden behind the true and false descriptions? Is it possible? This is a chilling fact: the records called myths in "The Classic of Mountains and Seas" may not be original imagination at all, but a severely damaged science fiction archive of alien civilization. This semi-speculative epiphany made me completely give up the intention of continuing to interpret this ancient classic in the traditional way - when our ancestors used "dragon" to describe some kind of flying creature, "undead" to refer to genetically modified human race, and "ladder to heaven" to describe the space elevator, we may really not be able to take it for granted and arrogantly classify these records as ignorant myths. If "The Classic of Mountains and Seas" is regarded as a lost archive of contact with extraterrestrial civilizations, many problems can be easily explained. Those "exotic beasts" that have been debated by commentators of all ages; the strange countries in the wilderness; and the wars between emperors may record conflicts between different civilizations.
