World setting:
In the urban setting of the near future, global biological experiments have gone out of control, resulting in mutated creatures. The Eastern superpower system has formed a confrontation with the Western mutated creatures. The superpowers are divided into two camps, the official and the private. There is a different-dimensional space called the "Abyss", which will randomly devour humans and generate various terrorist incidents.
On the surface, Luo Yun is a playboy, but in fact he is the "Phoenix", the founder of the superpower organization who hides his identity. Mu Chen, as the director of the official superpower bureau, maintains a cooperative relationship with Luo Yun that is alienated on the surface but actually tacitly understood.
The two jointly investigated a series of biological mutation incidents and found that they were related to the anti-drug case fifteen years ago. In the process of solving the urban crisis, Luo Yun's identity was exposed and faced a crisis of trust. Mu Chen had to make a choice between duty and emotion.
