Because females are so rare, those with stable genes above 50 percent are rarer still. The Beastfolk Empire launches the “Chasing the Light Project,” sending 300 teams into the depths of space to search for other life. Team 285 accidentally passes through a black hole and crosses time and space to reach Blue Star.
After working overtime for 15 days straight, Zhang Jianing suffers cardiac arrest. Her soul leaves her body, and she finds herself face-to-face with two members of the team.
“Are the Ox-Head and Horse-Face guys this handsome now?”
“A female from another space-time can actually project her mental form outside her body?”
It is only after boarding the spacecraft that Zhang Jianing learns they're not going to “Heaven” or the “Underworld,” but to an alien world: the Beastfolk World.
From then on, she lives a lie-flat life, adored by everyone in the Beastfolk World.
