[Sweet Romance] [Angst] [One Female Lead] [School Beauty] [Youth and Campus] [Young Love] [Bad Ending]
Chen Mo always thought the figure in a green dress from his dreams was just a product of adolescence, until Su Wan appeared at the classroom door.
The beauty queen of the whole school, she's so pretty she seems to have stepped out of a painting. Yet whenever he frowns, she offers him a mint; whenever he hesitates, she speaks the answer for him. She understands him too well, so well that Chen Mo can't help wondering: Have they known each other for a long time?
But there are always thorns mixed in with that sense of familiarity. Ever since she appeared, broken memories have begun to grow wildly: arguments hidden in the cicadas' song on summer afternoons, tears floating between the old books in the library, and a hazy "Wait for me," echoing as if carved into his soul.
The closer he gets to her, the sharper the fragments of memory become, as if a voice is shouting: Don't remember. If you remember, you'll lose her.
Until graduation day, when she clutches the hem of his uniform and her tears fall onto the back of his hand. Her voice is as soft as a sigh: "Lao Mo, I came to find you..."
Only then does Chen Mo understand that this sudden rush of love is no chance encounter of youth. It's someone bringing all their courage to travel against time and keep a date they are destined to lose. And perhaps the memories he has fought so hard to hold on to were meant for nothing but a farewell from the very beginning.
