The Enemy Is at the Gates, and the Empress Begs Me to Come Out of Retirement!

[Writing this for fun since it won't make money] + [Just hoping to make you smile]

The armies of Great Zhou are at the gates, and the court of Li is filled with voices calling for surrender.

The Empress of Li recalls the ancestral instruction left by the founding emperor:

“If Li faces a crisis, the reigning emperor may enter the Dragon Vein Mountains on foot, wearing nothing at all, and seek the help of Immortal Ji.”

Though Liu Ruyan has no idea why such a bizarre requirement exists, she has no other choice. She steels herself and enters the Dragon Vein Mountains.

“Liu Ruyan, Empress of Li, respectfully begs Immortal Ji to come forth and save our state!”
