As the sea swallows the last outlines of land, humanity huddles on the steel wreckage of a place called the Floating City, struggling to survive. The Common Era has become myth, and exile is the Floating City's only way of dealing with “unstable elements.”
This is the story of a young man cast by fate onto a desolate island of despair, searching for the meaning of survival and for others like him amid bone-deep cold and madness.
A pseudo-apocalypse: no zombies, no magic, only the struggle of human nature and blood running hot.
It's really good to read. I haven't seen such a short, concise and plot-driven post-apocalyptic novel in a long time!
