As Earth's apocalypse begins, the alien "Hive Fleet" invades, and the Photon Kingdom sends its strongest Lion Legion to aid the planet. The Photon Emperor's seven princes each have their own designs, and the fourth prince, Shui Jiancai, conspires with the enemy in an attempt to seize power.
Xu Yufan, orphaned as a child, was raised by her older sister. After returning from military service, she struggles to survive among the ruins of Jindu City with her nephew, Xiaobao. During their escape, she accidentally becomes entangled in a cross-galactic genetic conspiracy. Clues to the "Nightingale Disappearance Case," which she finds in an abandoned supermarket and its basement, gradually reveal a link between Earth's prehistoric humans and the bloodline of the Photon Kingdom's empress.
The Photon Kingdom's seventh prince, Shui Jianrui, uses his mother Lin's scientific research legacy and his own talent to rise to become a Lion Legion commander. His mother's research notes reveal that the "Empress's bloodline" in Earth's genes can counter parasitic organisms, and that Xu Yufan is a descendant of the royal family. By chance, Xu Yufan saves Shui Jianrui. The two begin working together against their enemies after their communication chips resonate quantumly with a blue-purple stone. Xu Yufan suffers fatal radiation exposure while destroying an alien energy base, leaving her bodily functions severely impaired.
After reaching the Photon Kingdom's water planet, Shui Jianrui exhausts every cutting-edge medical treatment, but still cannot cure her injuries. Pregnant with quadruplets and desperate for a healthy body, Xu Yufan takes the risk of entering the "Stardust Rebirth Pool." After giving birth, she is successfully restored and awakens the full potential of the Empress's bloodline. However, someone sabotages her during the victory banquet, causing her to miss her chance to publicly reunite with Shui Jianrui, and she chooses to live quietly. After many setbacks, Shui Jianrui sees through the conspiracy and finds Xu Yufan. They eventually overcome numerous obstacles and confirm their feelings for each other. Their daughter becomes the heir to the Photon Kingdom, and together they protect the future of both civilizations.
