When the Legitimate Daughter Starts to Rebel

“Heh heh, ever heard of a con artist? They deceive hearts, people, and feelings. And, of course, they can make you cry, too.”

After transmigrating, Que’er finds herself the daughter of a poor farmer in an alternate dynasty.

What’s she to do? Climb the social ladder, of course.

So she ends up in the bed of a noble young master, only to discover that he’s already married.

The first time Yang Wanyi meets Que’er, Que’er stands tall and proudly declares that her husband is the man she loves.

Yang Wanyi is furious. She doesn’t mind teaching this lowly concubine a lesson.

As a noblewoman from the capital, Yang Wanyi is used to carrying herself with dignity.

She never expected this lowly transmigrator to steal her husband and flirt with him right in front of her.

How could she put up with that?

But her husband loves Que’er passionately.

Que’er knows a great deal and understands plenty.

Yang Wanyi quietly plots against her, and, egged on by her maid, grows resentful of Que’er.

--

Behind the flower pond, an elegant woman smiles faintly.

After asking around, Yang Wanyi learns that this woman is the wife of her first love.

There’s no doubt about it: Su Qingyu has come to the Wen residence to stake her claim.

Her husband is the man Yang Wanyi could never have.

Yang Wanyi suppresses her anger and manages a cheerful face, though resentment simmers inside her.

--

After marrying into the Wen family, Yang Wanyi discovers her father-in-law’s shocking secret.

A forced marriage? A life of misery?

She shuts one eye and secretly watches with the other.

Heh, the older generation’s relationships are quite a tangled mess.

Note: This is an alternate setting and may get a little melodramatic. The characters’ values are pretty reasonable, so enjoy!
