“The Heavenly Stele records the fate of all things. She alone is a blank page, and I am the executioner holding the brush.”
Yunjin, the incarnation of Heaven’s will, was tasked with eliminating all who defied its rules. Yet he personally raised the greatest loophole of all: Shen Shuangjian, the incarnation of the Blank Scroll. The more she loved him, the deeper the cracks in the Heavenly Stele grew. The more he protected her, the further his divine essence rotted.
A fated dead end:
If they love each other, the three realms will collapse. If they kill each other, their souls will both be annihilated.
The first deception:
In front of everyone, Yunjin severed Shuangjian’s left arm “as a warning to others.” In secret, he refined it into a “Lovesick Bone Brush,” its nib fashioned from his rib and its inkstone filled with his divine blood. Every night, he used his rotting divine body as a vessel, cut his wrist to feed her, and coldly rebuked her: “Heaven does not tolerate filth.”
The second awakening:
To protect all living beings, Shuangjian willingly drove a Soul-Locking Nail into herself, unaware that it concealed a false demon soul implanted from the crimson bone of the original Blank Scroll. When she discovered that Yunjin’s eyes had rotted away and his chest was hollow from taking her injuries upon himself, she mistook him for a fallen demon and cruelly pierced his heart with the bone brush. “You monster, how dare you speak of compassion?”
As blood soaked the brush’s tip, memories of her previous life tore through her mind: she had been the “Godslayer” who destroyed the Thirty-Three Heavens, and the Heavenly Stele was created by her to imprison the primordial creator, the Ruins of Creation God, Yunjin’s true form.
The final choice:
Crimson Bone manipulated Shuangjian into destroying the Heavenly Stele, unleashing a cataclysm that would end the world.
Shuangjian burned her soul to activate the “Heaven-Burning Array.” With the bone brush, she inscribed every last fragment of her soul and rewrote the stele:
“Let my soul be the flame, and burn the stele to atone. You guard the three realms. I will guard the Ruins of Creation God!”
Yunjin tore apart the Ruins that had swallowed her, held her fading form, and fell into eternal night:
“This time, let the gods defy Heaven for you...”
This book is quite good, the plot is reasonable, the writing is brilliant and humorous, and the more you read, the better it becomes.
