I came back from the previous book and finished it in one sitting. The plot of Small World is quite interesting and the shortcomings of the previous book have been filled. I feel like the plot is the main focus, and the emotional lines are interspersed. I prefer the setting of the first world. The setting of leaving after completing the task makes me feel that I don't like it very much.
The writing is very good, and it doesn't need all kinds of brainless male and female supporting characters to set it off. There was no push-and-pull to save the world, fight, or kill a bunch of people, it was just plain, warm, and cozy.
