In an age when the Empire's iron heel crushes all hope in the galaxy, Sylvie, a former TIE fighter pilot, is no more than an insignificant "expendable" in the Empire's vast war machine. From the bloody defeat and ruthless abandonment at the Battle of Kashyyyk to her narrow escape in the Death Star trench, her life is scarred by the Empire's betrayal and the trauma of war. But a catastrophic crash sends her and her comrade Cooper, another pawn the Empire has discarded, into the arms of the Rebel Alliance.
The twists of fate do not end there. Sylvie discovers that she can glimpse fragments of the future in "prophetic dreams" so vivid they make her heart race. Amid the flames of the Battle of Yavin, she meets Luke Skywalker, the hero who destroyed the Death Star, and their paths quietly intertwine. Following the Force's guidance and wrestling with doubts about her own abilities, Sylvie sets out across the ice fields of Hoth, only to plunge unexpectedly into a seemingly bottomless chasm.
Beneath the abyss lies not the end of the natural world, but a horror that has slept for eons: the lost, mysterious stronghold of the legendary Sith Lord Darth Revan. Here, wailing spirits never cease, and the dark side of the Force is thick as blood. Sylvie witnesses Revan's dark altar, where life is desecrated, and encounters a terrifying reflection of her own darkness. Through a battle for life and death and a struggle within herself, she begins to grasp the power of the Jedi Code and forges an emerald-green lightsaber, a symbol of rebirth.
Where will their lives lead?
