I Picked Up a Rugged Man to Be My Bodyguard

Female lead: Lin Wan, a gentle and resilient young veterinarian

Male lead: Huo Chen, an apparently down-and-out bodyguard who is actually a shipping magnate in Southeast Asia

On a stormy night, I found a man covered in blood outside my clinic.

>He was feverish and delirious, but gripped my wrist tightly. "Don't call the police. I'm a bodyguard."

I dragged him into the clinic and claimed he was a new employee. When he woke up, he really did stay on to work.

Then one day, he took a knife meant for me during a violent dispute at the clinic. Beneath his bloodstained shirt, I saw a hideous old scar.

"Are all these injuries from being a bodyguard?" I asked, trembling as I applied medicine.

He suddenly caught my hand and pressed it against his heart. "No. I got them looking for you."

But one day, a line of black luxury cars stopped outside, and the men in suits bowed together. "Young Master, it's time to come home."
