Iron Chains and Gold Chains: A Knight’s Second Son Begins His Redemption

This is a personal passion project. I'll do my best to stay true to the historical record and write a good knight novel.

"Clad in 60 pounds of rusted mail, I enter the Holy Roman Empire as the Black Death rages. Between the Teutonic Knights' arsenic-tipped arrows and the Church tax collectors' brass scales, I write a record of survival in purgatory, steeped in the stench of dead fish from the moat, armed with Dioscorides' herbal lore and authentic maps of mineral veins."
