In Night City, the sky is an eternal execution ground. Ten names hang high above, a countdown ticks away, and deadly fireworks can erupt at any moment.
Chen Shi and Lin Yiyue open their eyes to find themselves cast as actors in a “god’s” script: one is a short-tempered “pet influencer” forced into cat-paw pajamas, the other a calm young man trapped in a fast-food uniform.
There are only two rules: stay in character and maintain your livestream rating. Otherwise, their minds will be crushed, or they may even turn into one of the “crocodiles” roaming the streets.
Worse still, the “god’s” malice drags them into the heart of a vortex: the theft of the Neon Heart, an object the whole city is hunting for, and the clues point straight to them! The Night Watchers, a pack of eerie cats wearing Peking opera masks, close in with their claws. The livestream cameras are the “god’s” all-seeing eyes, whispering warnings of “rule violations.” One wrong move, and they’ll be trapped in a terrifying hallucination of a wooden dummy reaching into their chests and tearing out their hearts!
In this abyss where neon and darkness intertwine, they must:
Play absurd roles, entertain an unknown audience in livestream hell, and struggle to survive.
Search for traces of the Neon Heart under the Night Watchers’ relentless pursuit, and clear their names.
Resist the “god’s” mind control and, under constant surveillance, plan an impossible escape, or even overturn this deadly game in which they are the pawns.
The eternal night is lightless, and the game has begun. Play along, or be destroyed?
