My Projector Connects to 1950

Main plot:

Lin Mo, a modern artifact restorer, activates a “Historical Resonance Projector” through a bullet-holed pocket watch passed down in his family, becoming a “ghost witness” on the battlefield of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. He immersively experiences stories of the volunteer soldiers, including the Ice Sculpture Company’s steadfast defense, the bloody battle at Songgu Peak, and letters sent from tunnel fortifications. After each projection, he receives fragments of the soldiers’ wishes, such as “send my mother a letter letting her know I’m safe” and “return my wife’s letter.” Initially lost and numb amid city life, Lin Mo is gradually moved by the volunteer soldiers’ spirit. He begins pursuing their unfulfilled wishes in the modern world: finding Li Changshun’s mother, erecting a monument for an unknown martyr, and passing on an American veteran’s remorse. In the process, he not only fulfills the soldiers’ final wishes but also finds meaning in his own life. He grows from “someone who restores artifacts” into “someone who passes on the spirit of history,” using modern means to bring the spirit of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea to life in the city.
