In 1994, at the Liaoyang Steelworks, the roar of machinery drowned out the greedy howls.
Burdened by the injustice done to her father, Lin Ye assumes the name Lin Yue and slips into the industrial torrent she once knew, now fraught with danger. Fortunately, her childhood friend Su Na stands firmly by her side. Beneath the glow of the steel furnaces, the two seemingly fragile women take on the heavy burden of fighting an entire rotten system. Deception, threats, and oppression follow them like shadows, but amid the clash of steel and the trust of the workers, they forge an unyielding resolve and the strength to lead. Their struggle grows from seeking justice for one person into a vow to speak for their silent coworkers. As they peel back the layers of corruption among the leadership and its protectors, the damning evidence they uncover, forged through blood and tears, becomes their weapon. It points not only toward the light of vindication, but toward the festering ills of an entire era.
The storyline is gripping, the characters are well-drawn, and the writing is very good!
