A restorer of ancient books discovers a blank ancient text, Mirror Abyss Studies, deep in a restricted library. The instant he touches its pages, he goes blind in his right eye, only to gain the “Eye of the Void,” which can see beings in dimensions that mirror reality.
He realizes that the city he lives in is merely a reflection of the real world. Every mirror is a crack leading to the “Mirror Abyss,” and its inhabitants are eroding human consciousness through cognitive contamination.
The Silver Crown Council, which controls the truth, names him its most wanted fugitive. But he allies with a mirror double who has awakened in the Mirror Abyss, together working to stop the two worlds from annihilating each other in ignorance.
