Time: 500 years ago. The exact date is now known to posterity as "Year One of the Ashen Era." Location: The absolute center of the Four Continents, the "Eye of the Earth's Heart," or the "Primordial Furnace."
During the hero Beiqi's research, the Primordial Furnace was split into four energy cores and distributed among the Four Continents, creating oases. Only this account of history remains in the long river of time. People call the 500 years before Beiqi the Ashen Era, and the era he created afterward the New Era.
