A love story about striving through youth. Yang Tao, a young man from the countryside who failed the college entrance exam, heads south to seek his fortune in a coastal metropolis. He falls prey to unscrupulous job brokers, works as an internet cafe attendant and a courier, then ends up on a factory assembly line tightening screws.
While working at the factory, Yang Tao meets his ideal girl, Zhang Jing. She is a university graduate and an office clerk at a corporation, while he is merely a failed exam candidate and an assembly-line worker. What kind of sparks will fly between them...?
Even though he failed the exam, Yang Tao still believes knowledge can change his fate. He works while preparing for the self-study exams.
After several failed business ventures, his hard work finally pays off, and Yang Tao achieves success. Meanwhile, the one and only girl in his heart has lovingly tended all along to the blueberry bushes they planted together back then...
