Male Doctor × Landlady
A Landlady’s Record of Falling in Love
Tang Youyou is the landlady of an old Western-style house. Collecting rent, fixing pipes, and settling neighborly disputes are part of her daily routine. Her motto is, “A home isn’t a home without the warmth of everyday life.” Then Lu Shiyuan, a cardiothoracic surgeon, becomes her newest tenant. Cool and distant beneath his white coat, with a gaze as sharp as a blade behind his gold-rimmed glasses, even the way he tightens a faucet looks like a delicate surgical procedure. The all-purpose landlady × the aloof doctor: she heals the house, and he heals hearts.
Super-sweet highlights: sharing shelter on a typhoon night / a stethoscope necklace / “I’ll wait for you” before he leaves for Africa
The central trope: “Your notes are the only thing I treasure that I don’t sort alphabetically.”
