Forged in Blood and Iron: 1937

Lin Yuan is a civilian military adviser in a modern Chinese special forces unit. He has a solid grounding in military theory and exceptional marksmanship, especially at sniping and precision shooting. However, complications from being born prematurely left him physically weak, unable to handle the demands of frontline combat.

As he stares blankly at a pile of tactical simulation data, his vision suddenly goes dark. When he opens his eyes again, he discovers that he has transmigrated and taken over the body of another Lin Yuan, a company commander in the 88th Division of the National Revolutionary Army during the 1937 Battle of Shanghai.

"Commander, the Japanese are charging again! Our company... our company's almost wiped out..."

A young soldier speaks through tears as the grim faces of the Japanese soldiers charging toward them come into sharper focus.

What should he do?
