Six-year-old Luo Ning awakens to the truth.
He is the fake young master in a melodramatic novel about a wealthy family feud.
On the day of his coming-of-age ceremony, the villainous real young master returns. Luo Ning will be ruthlessly thrown out of the house, become a laughingstock, and meet a tragic end.
Determined to change his fate, Luo Ning decides he has to act first. He’ll find the real young master before he turns evil, then run away from home to prevent his tragic future.
Luo Ning goes to great lengths to find the not-yet-evil Luo Zhao. He calls him “big brother” at every turn and comes up with all sorts of ways to win his favor, while secretly plotting his grand escape.
When his plan is finally exposed, Luo Zhao grabs him and refuses to let go.

Ever since Luo Zhao was old enough to remember, he had lived a miserable life, unloved by both his father and his mother.
The first time they met,
he had been bullied by his classmates. Thinking this was just another trick to mess with him, he paid it no mind.
The second time they met,
a ray of light shone into his gloomy world. Why did this boy keep calling him “big brother”? His voice was so sweet. It seemed like he really wanted to be friends.
When he discovers that Luo Ning wants to run away from home,
Luo Zhao stops restraining his dark impulses. He reveals his obsessive possessiveness and keeps the little ray of sunshine who wants to escape locked firmly by his side.
The vicious dog tucks away its fangs and lies in wait beside the one it loves, letting no one approach and never letting the person in its arms get away.
