The story is set in a world ruled by darkness, where the male lead lives. Hundreds of years ago, a hero led a group of people in defeating the Demon King. But after taking power, he realized the world was out of balance, so he decided to distribute the power hidden underground across the world, spreading it evenly to every corner. He sealed it away with a series of pillars. There were twenty-seven countries, and so there were twenty-seven pillars. But after he died, his comrades betrayed their original ideals and took all the power back, forcing the people to continue living in darkness. Our male lead was born into this world, and after enduring countless hardships with a group of companions, they finally saved it.
