Pokemon: You Call That a Pikachu? It's a Painted Skin!

[A note before reading: This is a laid-back, travel-focused story. There is a System, but it isn't much use. It's set in a utopian Pokemon world, and I'm doing my best to create the Pokemon world of my dreams.]

I woke up to find myself a corporate drone in the Pokemon world. A Farfetch'd chef was after me for money, and a Squirtle firefighter showed up to put out a blaze. I was about to summon the System and show off, but it told me my "strongest starter pack" hadn't arrived yet. I had just complained about being a good-for-nothing transmigrator when a Mimikyu with a tattered disguise suddenly leaped out of the grass. "Stay back!" I shielded my poor backpack, but it shoved an IOU into my hands! "Want to catch me? First help me take down those Snorlax that crushed my limited-edition Pikachu figures!" I looked down at the Poke Ball the System had urgently given me as compensation. That's it? Then I looked up and saw the Mimikyu across from me gathering Shadow Claw in both paws. Is the path to becoming the strongest Trainer really going to start with taking a Pokemon that scams people along on a debt-collecting trip?
