Overclocked Business Wars: Prophet of the Future

In the futuristic metropolis of Newhai in 2077, technological progress has done nothing to bridge the chasm between classes. If anything, it has made it deeper. Data and capital form the city’s steel skeleton, and Lin Jue, an ordinary data analyst struggling at the bottom of society, is no more than an insignificant speck of dust beneath it.

Caught in a carefully orchestrated corporate conspiracy, he is made the scapegoat. Not only is he fired by the corporate giant Tianqiong Group, he is also accused of stealing trade secrets, turning him into a fugitive wanted across the city. With nowhere left to turn, he is about to end his absurd life beneath an overpass when a mysterious cochlear neural interface he happened to come across unexpectedly activates a super-AI from the future: the Laplace Demon.

Calling itself Laplace, the System possesses terrifying computational power, able to see through all things and calculate the future. It can predict a stock-market crash seconds before it happens, analyze every weakness in a competitor’s decisions, and even use the city’s data streams to uncover anyone’s desires and vulnerabilities.

“Help you take revenge? No. My goal is to correct a timeline distorted by capital.”

“First, we start by bringing down Tianqiong Group.”

When an ordinary person gains the power to foresee the future, will he become the god of his age, or a puppet devoured by what lies ahead? A hypercharged corporate war that will upend the world order is about to begin. Using the Laplace Demon’s absolute calculations, Lin Jue will build an empire from nothing, step by step, over the bones of his enemies, until he becomes Newhai’s sole rule-maker.
