I still shudder when I think about that night again.
After the party, 5 people from 5 families were killed. Among them is my beloved husband.
The murderer quickly surrendered. He said that he only wanted the death penalty and it didn't matter who or how many he killed, but he refused to say anything about the details of the case.
As the bereaved family, we were certainly not satisfied with such a confession, so we organized a verification meeting. There were 13 people at one table. I stared into the eyes of the host Kaga Kyouichiro and he said:
"I hope you won't lie."
Then let's break up and have a frank chat! Question 1 - Who did you kill?
Reader comments
I read half of the physical version in a bookstore, and when I came back and searched Tomato, I found this book. Personally, I think this book is better than "I Killed Him" in the same series. First, there are more characters and the stories of five families are mixed together. On the surface, it seems more complicated, confusing and more interesting. It is also interesting to reveal the stories of the five families bit by bit in the end. And the most important thing is that the ending of "I Killed Him" doesn't reveal the official real murderer. It made me heartbroken and uncomfortable when I saw the ending and couldn't see the real murderer. It's great that this ending can reveal the real murderer! After finally finding the accomplice, I thought it was over, but I didn't expect there was another murderer. This was an expected surprise, which was great! I just don't understand why Kagami only pointed out the accomplice in public but not the additional murderer.
I have watched a third of the movie. The characters are more complicated than the previous two movies, but the plot is not more attractive to me. Kaga's mystery is still a huge motivation to watch. I hope that I will have more surprises after reading it.
Five stars to Kaga Kyouichiro [Adoration][Adoration][Admiration]
Rashomon-style reasoning in a closed space. The murderer surrendered but remained silent. Everyone's testimonies were all lies. The mask of humanity and the hidden pain of the family were torn apart. Rather than finding the real murderer, it became clear that indifference and prejudice were the real murderer.
Not bad. I like the setting of Haruna. But I don't like having multiple people discussing the answers. I kept silent several times, and it made me tired to watch others talk.
The whole book is very logical and has unexpected points. Tomoka was not mentioned in the second half, which made me feel shocked when I read it. However, Shizue felt a little weird when she saw Haruna killing someone.
Keigo Higashino's book, like it
Good-looking, good-looking, good-looking
Intricate, not bad, not bad.
Multiple reasoning is worthy of verification
Thank you teacher for bringing so many excellent works to the world throughout your life
I love Higashino Keigo's novels the most, and I love Police Officer Kaga the most.
Familiar recipe, familiar taste
Not as good as the first, but better than the worst. I don't know if this is considered a grand narrative, but it's pretty good anyway.
Consistent with Higashino's delicate and meticulous logic. The original reasoning is enjoyable to watch.
Very interesting! Reading it makes people feel that the truth seems to be right in front of them but it has been deliberately hidden by human nature.
