Five years ago, Su Rou went to a bar for the first time to see what it was like. By a twist of fate, she ended up in bed with Zhang Chenyu and accidentally got pregnant. Because of her health, she had no choice but to give birth to the child.
Heaven gave a timid secret admirer a chance: Su Rou transmigrated into the past with her child, where she could save Zhang Chenyu, who had been neglected since childhood.
When they reunited years later, Zhang Chenyu finally realized that the person he loved was the very one who had once saved him.
So much time had passed that Zhang Chenyu didn't dare reveal his feelings.
A gift from fate sent Zhang Chenyu back to the past, where he witnessed Su Rou's struggles and resilience. He stayed by her side as she grew for a time.
The bond between them is this: “I recognized your heartbeat before I noticed your looks. The you I love is the soul I shaped.”
