I, Qin Fengming, am the Nine-Thousand-Year-Old of the Great Li.
I hold power over the court, keep the feudal lords in check, and command the respect of the princes and neighboring kingdoms.
I had planned to complete the tasks required by the System and then retire with my work done.
But after the young and beautiful empress woke from a coma, her personality suddenly changed.
At first, she fussed over me and asked after my health. Later, she started getting handsy.
In the end, she even announced before the entire court that she would never marry anyone but me.
Come on, I'm just a eunuch!
I, Zhao Ehuang, am the female emperor of the Great Li.
In my previous life, I was deceived by treacherous ministers and poisoned Qin Fengming, the Nine-Thousand-Year-Old who held power over the court.
Only after verifying his identity did I discover that he was a fake eunuch.
After Qin Fengming died, I granted a general amnesty, thinking that at last the realm would enjoy peace for generations to come.
Yet within a few short months, rebellions erupted across the Great Li, and the armies of nine kingdoms formed an alliance to attack us.
Only as I lay dying did I finally realize that without Qin Fengming, I could never protect the Great Li's throne.
Reborn into this life, I won't just support him as a powerful minister. I'm going to marry him, too!
