As an ancient book restorer, I am used to dealing with dust and old paper. Until that rainy night, I received a brass instrument engraved with a strange star map.
The old lady next door warned in horror: "It's a Star Orbiter thing! It shouldn't have left the Tower of London!"
That night, the instrument rotated on its own in my hands, projecting a faint blue trail that did not belong to any galaxy.
Shadows twisted and formed on the wall, and a voice whispered in my head:
"You're finally awake... Observer."
