The protagonist isn’t a traditional academy-trained player. He’s a self-taught maverick who grew up playing tennis on chaotic street courts. His game has no fixed style, relying purely on animal instinct, terrifying physical prowess, and the unpredictable shots he honed on the streets, a variation on “formless shooting” known as “formless returns.”
After a clash or a wager, he is discovered, or forcibly recruited, by the coach of a prestigious tennis school such as Fudomine or Seigaku Shonan.
