Golden Cicada Shatters Illusions: A Bloodied Path Through the Three Realms
Jin Chanzi discovers that the Buddha’s radiance on Spirit Mountain is steeped in the resentment of billions of believers. When he challenges the Buddha, his soul is crushed on the spot and he is cast into the cycle of reincarnation. Across nine lives, each time he awakens memories of a past life, mysterious forces hunt him down. In his tenth life, he is reborn as an abandoned child who cultivates both Confucianism and the Dao. When his memories awaken, he holds a Daoist scripture in his left hand, stirring the stars throughout the heavens, and a Confucian classic in his right, rousing the dragon veins of the Nine Provinces. The Buddha himself descends to the mortal world, a black lotus devouring the sun and moon behind him. “The Three Teachings must fall. I alone shall endure forever!” Jin Chanzi shatters the chains of reincarnation, with the shadows of his nine past lives appearing behind him. “In this life, I’ll walk the bloodied path as my true self, not to become a Buddha, but to eradicate every false sage across the heavens!”
