The bloody game of chess begins, and a mad beauty makes her move!
On her wedding day, Shen Zhaoyi, the Duke's legitimate daughter, leaves a trail of blood at the mass grave, with a golden hairpin through the throat of her sedan chair bearer. The world mocks her as insane and delusional, unaware that the face in her bronze mirror, so strikingly like the Empress Dowager's, conceals the shocking secret of an infant switched at birth!
Barefoot, she crushes a porcelain cup of poisoned wine and laughs as she drinks the rouge-colored liquor.
“A bridal sedan chair at the ancestral hall? For my coming-of-age ceremony, I want my enemies' skulls for cups!”
When the Regent, a man who holds all power in the realm, crushes the golden hairpin she dropped, he says, “Make sure Miss Shen has a ticket to the depths of hell.”
But she presses a poisoned dagger to his heart in return. “Your Highness, hell is full. How about a game of regicide instead?”
A mad beauty × a dark Regent: a political battlefield where they save each other!
