Even a Speck of Dust in Hengdian Has Its Starlight

Synopsis: Eight yuan and thirty cents, and an actor's certificate: that's everything I own in Hengdian. My dream of becoming an actor crumbled in a greasy restaurant kitchen, a cramped "kitchen-bathroom" room, and a bankruptcy farce. When I couldn't even afford a ticket to escape, that worthless actor's certificate became my only lifeline.

In the world of extras, the "Old Association," I met the "Seven Oddballs of Hengdian," people who would do anything for a meal and whose bonds grew wild and strong. We weren't related by blood, but we would give our lives for one another. In the darkest depths, I met her: Yuan Yuan. The faint warmth of sharing a steamed bun lit up the years I spent adrift. Two hearts struggling in the mud collided and pushed open a heavy door. We thought we'd found salvation. We had no idea that our blazing love would become a thunderclap, tearing fate apart in an instant! Suffocating maternal love came wrapped in the sharp blades of worldly judgment, threatening death! Yuan's mother swore she'd crush me, a "lowly ant." But the raging waves only fanned the flames in the abyss! The world may crush me, but I'll break every bone before I believe fate is set! From a faceless extra to fighting for survival with my hands on screen, in this arena where dreams are made and shattered, I use sweat, humiliation, and the faintest glimmer of starlight to rebuild my spine, inch by inch. When a speck of dust resolves to shine, what can endless darkness do to stop its light? Watch as this once-despised speck of dust from Hengdian rises from the very bottom of the extras' ranks, ready to break every bone to defy fate! I'll forge a foundation that shakes the industry with my own flesh and blood. The flames of the abyss will burn away every shackle, and starlight will pierce the heavens at last! I'll pluck those unreachable stars with my own hands!
