“What! Why are there so many bad reviews? Let me see what the most-liked one says!” Nian shrieked as she read the reviews of the film she had directed.
“Worst movie of the year! The plot is absolute trash, and by the end of the film, you have no idea what it was even about! The only thing worth mentioning is that the fight scenes were great.”, Review
Nian crushed the phone in her hand. “What do you mean, the plot is trash? I put my heart into writing it!”
“No, my brand-new phone!” Nian wailed as she stared at the phone on the floor.
Nian looked at Chongyue, who was sipping tea, and said, “Big brother! What do I do? Everyone’s trashing it!”
Chongyue held back a laugh. “Polish it some more. I’m sure you’ll improve.”
“Improve what? Big brother, you were just holding back a laugh, weren’t you? I saw you!” Nian said angrily.
“In that case, you write the script, big brother!” Nian seized the chance to complain.
“I don’t know how to write a story,” Chongyue said, shaking his head as he declined.
“Hmph, laughing at me like that!” Nian pouted.
“Ah, I’ve got it! Why not write a story about us siblings?”
Chongyue thought for a moment. “A story about us siblings? I doubt the people over in Yan would approve.”
“My dear big brother, you can change things around. Make it seventy percent true and thirty percent made up. Aren’t parallel universes and ‘what if’ timelines all the rage lately? You could write it like that!” Nian said proudly, hands on her hips.
“All right. I’ll give it a try,” Chongyue said with a nod.
A few days later...
“Big brother, what you’ve written is way too literary! I mean, who reads stuff like this these days?” Nian shouted as she looked at Chongyue’s script.
(The story of Chongyue before he came to the island. Since this is an IF timeline, it strays a little from the main story.)
It's like watching Water Margin again 😂
