A modern history student accidentally traveled through time and became the newly born Emperor Tuoba Gui, the founding emperor of the Northern Wei Dynasty, and found himself in the politically turbulent Northern Wei Dynasty. His father Tuoba Gui had just died to protect his grandfather.
Tuoba Gui realizes his special status as a posthumous son, and is facing the danger of his mother Helan being under house arrest and tribal forces eyeing him. Dai's country is in the midst of internal and external troubles.
