A Peaceful, Worry-Free World

(No System, Alternate World, One Female Lead, No Mindless Protagonist)

When the first bolt of lightning flashed across the heavens,

when the first gale blew through the void,

when the first sacred flame kindled in primordial chaos,

the gods stole the light of heaven, and the cycle of life and death began in the world below.

Mountains and rivers turned to ash, and the oceans boiled.

The sun and moon darkened together, and the stars hung upside down.

All living things wailed, and nothing else remained.

That was the end of the old world, and the beginning of rebirth.

A thousand years later, atop a mountain,

a golden crow, its body agleam with flowing gold, folded its wings and gazed down at the human world, where life had begun to flourish once more. After a long silence, with the lights of countless homes reflected in its eyes, it finally let out a low sigh:

“The human world is at peace, free from worry.”
